I've got a few minutes to waste one evening...kids and in bed and wife has fallen asleep.

I hop on UB and play a micro-limit hold'em.

1st hand: Pocket Jacks. Board is 2 aces and a Jack. Wow. I push it with a lot of callers. What the hell do these people have? I win.

2nd hand: Big Slick. Board is A K Q. Turn is an A. Wow.

3rd hand: Pocket Kings. Wow!

4th hand: KQ

5th hand: QQ

I can't believe the cards I'm getting. Moreover, I can't believe the cards on the board and that everyone is playing with me. Then I try to think back...have I even seen a card lower than a "10" on the board? I don't think so.

I type, "Wow! These boards are nuts!"

6th hand: 10-J

7th hand: A-A

Then I look up at the game: "Royal Hold'em". I'm a dunce.

Never even heard of that game before. Has anyone else? Essentially, it is hold'em with 32 of the cards (all 2's - 9's) removed from the deck.

As soon as I realized that, I tightened up like Sylvester on alum. Suddenly a straight didn't look that good any more!
