First tournament of the TCUPL 2008-2009 season is tonight.
I'll be using v3's Standard Tournament for the first time for real tonight.
I've found a few opportunities for improvement in getting ready for the tournament...re-listing multiple players at once...un-eliminating multiple players at once (just example from playing around)
But more importantly, I'm getting a chance to use, for real, a lot of these new features I've added in v3....some of which I nearly forgot was there:
- Time-based alerts. Love'em.
- The marquee and marquee collections. I'm using these for announcements across the bottom like "Next tournament on blah blah", "Congrats to blah blah", "This season's schedule includes blah blah". Cool stuff. AND I can easily change it on the fly.
- The informational overlays. I created one called "Larry King's News and Views" with stuff from Norm MacDonald. Hilarious.
- The dashboard editing is MUCH easier than it used to be.
- Having the "start countdown" work correctly and use the start time of the tournament automatically is very nice.
- The cash flow report is a very helpful feature.
And I'm really looking forward to trying this "Chip Leaders" feature during the tournament. _________________ --

It went pretty well.
The chip leaders was neat to display, and good information to look back on...but counting stacks is a pain in the ass!
I found a lot of small bugs, but nothing major and nothing I can't take care of quickly:
- Seating by player is using demo data
- Seating by table threw an exception
- Remaining player count isn't quite right
- Shadow color on alerts is white and should be black
- Error when purchasing a rebuy as part of an elimination
- Players aren't getting unseated upon elimination _________________ --
