Nearly done with the Blinds Schedule Wizard and it's pretty slick. Here's how it works...(give me your feedback after reading).
- You select "New Schedule"
- The app prompts you with 3 options:
1. Use Wizard
2. Select from pre-defined
3. New empty schedule
- If you select the wizard, the wizard pops up and you get a chance to define the following:
a. Expected player count (defaults to the number of players you have loaded)
b. Starting chip count (defaults to the chip count for the first buy-in in your buy-in list)
c. Total play duration
d. Minutes per play segment
e. Minutes per break segment
f. Rounds between breaks
g. Pause after each break?
h. Duration of pre-tournament segment
i. Pause after pre-tournament segment?
j. Use antes?
When you hit okay, it figures out how many rounds are needed, inserts the breaks and pre-tournament segments appropriately and sets the antes/small blinds/big blinds.
If you have chips defined, it will use your chip values to figure out the best rounding values for each bet (for instance, the big blind won't be 101).
What do you think? _________________ --

Looks good except for one thing....you have it looking at the buy-ins and the amounts.....what about expected rebuy/addins........(I always thought you looked at total chips in play to determine the final blind level.....).....I tend to have a hign % of add-ins (90% or better).....so it would greatly effect me......
PS.....think you might have it done before my tourney tomorrow.......LOL....no pressure however..... |

The Blinds Wizard is just for creating a blinds schedule.
For now, if you don't want to see antes, then modify the console to use the "blinds" component rather than the "ante and blinds" component _________________ --

I quickly figured out how to take them out (i started with the 2.22.05 build). I was probably thinking aloud about the "next level component" which still displays ante (I just got the 3.8.05 build on thursday and haven't played with the consoles yet). My Bad! |
