Well, in leiu of me creating a way to do it, you could:
Export a v3 database to CSV to get the template.
Open the file, type all of your players in quickly.
Re-import the updated database CSV file.
Of course, if we're talking 1000 players, that's a lot of work for you. _________________ --

did it.
followed your suggestion and exported a blank db from v3 for structure, and opened in Excel.
opened old player DB in text editor (BBEdit for Mac).
copied all tect to a Word doc.
Used Word's superior find and replace functions to strip out all coding and insert commas where needed to delimitate first, last and nicknames.
inserted commas where they otherwise didn't insert.
converted text to table.
rearranged columns to match v3 form.
cut and pasted into Excell spreadsheet.
imported into v3.
voilá! |
