I tried out Poker Room this morning.
Don't like the interface as much as UB, but it's not that bad. I was seated at the table in the "sexy woman" spot
I've asked them what it takes to set up a private tournament. _________________ --

On PokerRoom.com, creating a private table is very simple if you download the software. I create public table all the time and private tables are just a selection.
I have not created a private table yet, but it should be simple. |

I saw how to create a private table, but I want a private tournament (which hopefully will be multi-table) _________________ --

I asked PokerRoom the other day and they said..
"Unfortunately we don't allow any 3rd party to sponsor events and tournaments at PokerRoom."
So much for that..... |

Can't have a private tournament at Poker Room.
So, I'll set up another try at a UB tournament, and a small side-game on Poker Room sometime. _________________ --

You can set up private tournaments with PokerStars. I set up a private tournament every week.
Here are some notes:
$10 + $1 - min. buyin
has a set payout structure based on entries
you can have multiple tables

PokerStars (like many of the other poker sites) is not Mac friendly. Poker ROOM otoh is Windows and/or Java based and therefore is warm and fuzzy towards Mac users (such as myself)
that is why I mentioned the new feature at poker room.
