Getting into avatars, and I've just about wrapped them up for eliminations.
Configuration
You can set the avatar options to:
- None: No avatars displayed
- Player: Just the player eliminated with their name below
- Eliminators: Just the people who eliminated the player, with their names
- All: The player on the left and the eliminator(s) on the right (that's what the picture below shows)
All elimination alerts will be displayed the same way, perhaps with different body text.
Audio
You can select:
- Default: Plays the audio associated with the alert.
- Player: Plays the audio associated with the player knocked out, or if none exists plays the audio associated with the alert.
- Eliminators: Plays the audios associated with the eliminators, or if none exists plays the audio associated with the alert.
Here's how it looks right now:
As a side note, doing this also resulted in my redoing the way I display alerts and message. MUCH cleaner, more effecient and less resource intensive. _________________ --

That's looking fantastic Doc!
I don't suppose there's any way to include a little graphic inbetween the avatars to illustrate who is the eliminator and the eliminated? Maybe a boxing glove/gun/axe etc pointing at the eliminated player.
Or maybe a user defined image to keep everything customisable.
What about two avatars for each player? One for when they get eliminated (sad face/angry face etc) and a normal one for everything else. _________________ -- Kingaroy High Rollers Poker Tour -- |

Ha. I've actually thought about the happy sad. That'd be pretty funny.
For now, we'll keep it with eliminated on the left and elimniator on the right...but I'll think about ways to allow for customization beyond what's already there.
As it turns out, the way I ended up doing it will allow for animation in the future if I decide to do that. Could be as simple as a blinking red "x" over the player being eliminated. _________________ --

Haha, awesome. I agree there needs to be a "sad face" option.
There are a lot of features I don't need at all, but would be incredibly fun if I had to break up my games to multiple spaces and work it across the network. I can imagine the laughs coming from the other room when an elimination graphic popped up, and of course the occasional random message. _________________ Wherever you go, there you are. |
