I'm sure just as my last question was answered by reading another thread, this one is out there somewhere...
Do we only have the option to start a Simple League and/or Tournament?

For beta2, yes.
I've got a lot of the plumbing in place for the Standard Tournament...just need to hook it together and test it out. I actually had started developing the Standard Tournament first then decided to firm up the Simple one prior to completing the Standard.
I'm starting work on the Standard League tonight.
Once I get those worked out, it's onto the Standard Heads-Up Tournament!...but that'll be after official release.
Official release will be after all v2 functionality is incorporated and I can (hopefully) migrate v2 tournaments. _________________ --

Whew! I thought I was losing it.
Okay - that makes sense. One thing that I was wondering - from the console, you can right click on aget a bevy of options (like eliminate player, stop clock, start clock, add-in, rebuy, etc.) I also know there were "quick-key" assignments for those options as well. Will those options also be available from console, once full functionality is resotred?
Thanks again, Doc!

Right.
Even for a simple tournament, there will be options available from the console.
The trick will be making the options different depending on the active tournament type. _________________ --

BTW...if there's anything else you rely in v2 that you don't yet see a vision for in v3 (either not yet implemented or not on the enhancements lists I have on the BB), please bring it up! _________________ --
