I'm trying for a 70s theme in this league "season". This is my first draft. Took me a while to find a suitable font that was also fixed-width (so the clock wouldn't "shake"). Comments? Critique? Suggestions?

Okay, I've edited a bit. I think it's good enough for now. I'll come back to it before tourney time, make changes, and then create the other screens.

Thanks! I was going for simplicity, showing only what was necessary, then making that as accessible and fun as possible without too much flash or ornament. I look forward to using it for the first time next week. I set different tints of translucent color to the backgrounds for the various other consoles in the theme, but they're largely the same. The effect of the "next level" bar is thick borders of slightly different widths on the center elements. Works well, I think.

I really dig the customization tools, and I can't wait to see how v3 is like. Here's another hope for having font and color "styles", so I can define a font type once and then use it. ie, I could have a "numbers" style, which on this console is that LED thing, but if I wanted to change it up, I only had to do it in one place. Also having the same thing for colors would allow for console-wide changes in a matter of seconds. These two things combined would make a cottage console template industry, at least from me. Smile

...and perhaps a pipe dream that we'd have overall templates, so I could define the same elements on multiple consoles? *batting eyelashes* Tho' even if no changes are made, I still dig designing consoles. Some great tools and flexibility, but in a streamlined straight-forward fashion. Love it.

Any idea of what that font is called? Or if it is available for windows?

The fonts are "KeepOnTruckin" and "Ozone". I got them from one of the free font sites (sorry, forget which), and most fonts these days are cross-platform so you should be fine.

Madeline Smith

But for the best collection in wallpaper size... http://www.jamesbond.com/

Enter the "high bandwidth" site option then select "downloads" and scroll to the bottom.
