I ended up putting $50 into Poker Stars in order to play in the HPT member tournaments.
I'll use this thread to track my progress on the way to retirement. Whee!
(Seriously, though. I'm betting that the last post on this thread will be "lost the last of it today"). _________________ --

Up to $174.
Placed 4th in the first HPT tournament ($10 buy in for NLHE...no award for 4th).
Place 2nd in the second HPT tournament ($10 buy in for NLHE...$38 in return, I think).
I play about 1 s'n'g per evening. I'm on a roll of 4 consecutive cashes.
We'll see how this plays out. I'm finding that the player on Poker Stars (at least in the $10 s'n'g tournies) seem a bit smarter than those on UB or FT. _________________ --

What buy-in SNG are you playing doc? I had a pretty good run at the $10s late last year, then a mediocre run at the $20s and I got frustrated and went back to playing ring.
They're a lot of fun though. I'll be in a cash game and lose a $100 pot on a beat, and be all ho hum and re-load, but in a $20 SNG when my tourney life is on the line my heart is pounding with tension. I think it's because I know that in the cash game I can come back and get the chips off the a$$hole that just put a beat on me. |

Lost a $10 s'n'g on Tuesday night, but placed 2nd in the HPT Freeroll on Wednesday night (winning $100), so I'm up to $263. _________________ --

That's crazy money! Maybe you should quit your day job and do this full time. I'm sure the wife would love that!
