I had 11 players sign up and one of the players (police officer) HAD to leave early. My rule fo thumb is we divide his chips up among the others at the table. I haven't had this happen in the last two years ... but it wouldn't be an elimination . . . . but I still wanted to count his money towards the pot (I ended up on the fly deleting him, but none of the finances were correct, nor would the final points) -- in hind sight I could just blinded him down ... but a rules a rule (until I change it)
so my Q is ... is there a good way to eliminated a player out w/o applying the hit to someone else? |

Dang Max, you beat me to it.
Seriously, what is the point of me coming to work this early, I never really start WORKING until 9am or so. The first two hours are just a waste. _________________ <thwack> NOooooooBODY expects to lose to Rewind!

Forget about the software for a second...I'd really suggest changing your rule of thumb.
Dividing up the chips potentially gives new life to someone who's nearly eliminated, and I don't think that's really fair to the rest of the table.
That said, if you want to keep his money & want him to finish last in the standings, then you have to eliminate him. I see your options as follows:
- Eliminate the player and make *everyone* the eliminator.
- Turn off "track eliminators"...which essentially makes specifying an eliminator optional. _________________ --
