|
|
Background: Non-casino Hold'em poker was semi-legalized in Minnesota in the last few weeks. Bars can now throw free-rolls with a prize pool not to exceed $200...
Brad at TwinCitiesPoker.com (http://www.twincitiespoker.com) seized the opportunity and quickly teamed up with the Medina Entertainment Center to create the Medina Poker League (http://www.medinapokerleague.com/): A series of 15 freeroll tournaments. The eventual winner of the league wins an entry into the Canterbury Fall Classic main event ($1000 value). The winner of each tournament along the way receives $100 and points that count toward the league championship event (the top 16 players in the league standings compete for the final prize).
Yours truly just won the first event. 50 players showed up.
The hand of the night for me...5 players left and I'm forced all-in on the big blind with 8-3 offsuit (small blind had folded). The player that calls turns up A-Q. Flop is A-K-7. I say, "It can happen!" Turn: 8. River: 8. Dr. 2.5x up and goes on to win the tournament.
More importantly, I outlasted the Eradicator and won a sidepot of $5 off of him. _________________ --

Expertly played. Congratulations on the win.
Hmmm. Any thought of a module in TM to capture hand details? Could be good for final table action - or capture of all eliminations, big hands, etc.
Pen & paper is just so 1984, you know? |

Perhaps an additional column in the history tab to allow for user notes? _________________ Lifes too short to play with cheap chips |

You can add notes now. That's how I've been doing it. My history has things like "Cookie flops K hi str8, gets AI against Bird's Rockets".
I was thinking something a little more structured - like selecting the players involved, entering each one's hand (& stack size, maybe?), the flop, turn & river, and space for notes. |

That's really neat - I wish there was something like that around here...
